The service was courteous, the coffee delicious, the ambience harmonious. I cannot judge the food, but it is definitely recommended for a coffee.
Very nice ambience and the cake looked delicious. Unfortunately, we let ourselves be guided by hunger and opted for the Mediterranean joie de vivre and the salad with mushrooms. One of the dishes lacked the joie de vivre and strangely enough, the salad was served with a sweet and sour sauce, which is usually eaten with spring rolls. I definitely cannot recommend either of these dishes. Maybe I would give the cake another chance.
Food halfway okay the first time, but friendliness is an unknown word there. The second time we were ignored, as a waitress you didn't want to go out into the rain (quote from the waitress) ... well then. Definitely not again.
Had one of the worst coffees of my life. But as you know, it's a matter of taste. But unfortunately, by initially ignoring the service, it didn't leave the nicest impression.
A coffee that we were in two years ago. We were very satisfied at the time. When we were there this time, the service staff seemed a bit uncomfortable. The food wasn't really tasty either.
Were there today and ate the two schnitzel variants. Sooo tasty with nice flavor. Took two pieces of cake for home, which were also very, very good. We would go there again.
Mega delicious cake there is something for everyone. Exclusive and unusual and prepared with a lot of love. In addition a delicious almond milk latte 😍 cute cafe in the middle of the city, friendly staff, great service.
Very well. Somewhat away from the market. Friendly service, very good, homemade cakes.
There you sit comfortably, friendly and quick staff and the cheesecake hmm .. delicious, delicious ... !!!
Interesting dishes on the menu. Food ("Pasta with minced meat sauce" tastes good. "Healthy and light" and "Mediterranean joie de vivre" were tried and found to be good). Staff was friendly and quick.
In the evening we had a drink and onion tart in the restaurant. Nice atmosphere and nice service. You shouldn't miss a stroll through the coffee house, which extends over 7 houses.
We went in shortly after opening. Everything was empty and yet the greeting was quite rude. It is already clear to us that there will be no warm meals at 10:15. We didn't see the advertised 7 houses. We wanted to take a look at the premises (house empty !, with mask, of course) because we received an inappropriate comment from the waitress. We then didn't dare to look any further. In the end we just had a coffee and left quickly. Overall expandable.
With nice weather outside with coffee and cake was just good
Very nice service, great food! Highly Recommended!
Great location, lovely decor. We were here 4 years ago. This time we sat outside. Cake and ice cream very tasty. Operation top.
Rude and slow service, would't recommend...
Unfortunately no friendly service. Got a table outside on a sunny day. The ice cream card and the proof of identity known to Corona were popped on the table and hey presto it was gone again. Because of the ice cream menu, I was a bit confused whether I was right in the cafe and when I asked, I was again told "very friendly and briefly". With the invoice then the info that there is a hygiene surcharge of € 0.50 ... Aha ... what exactly? Diluted wash gel on the toilet?
A rainy day in Quedlinburg, still beautiful - but also wet. At noon the rain takes a short break and the chairs in front of the Roland are rubbed dry. So sit down boldly, but order what? I haven't been eating meat recently, so I look at the offer in the window: "Vegetarian Lentil Lasagne" Probably another poor attempt to please everyone ... And then it comes, the lasagna - and it's a stunner! Looks great and tastes even better - best lasagna ever! The sun rises in with. Before I succumb to the temptation to order another portion (my wife has "tried" half of it) the next raindrops fall. Wanderer, if you come to Quedlinburg, take your steps into the Roland and ask about the greatest lentil lasagne in the world ..
There is delicious ice cream and homemade lemonade. Sufficient seats outside and a very friendly service.
Good location and okay menu, but service could be improved. Outside terrace was full, and we got overlooked/forgotten many times, to the point where we decided to only have drinks and move on to somewhere else for food.
Tasteless food. Long waiting times. Staff with an attitude.
Very cozy place There are a few tables outside, mostly in the shade. Fast service, sometimes too fast, unfortunately you could not look at the menu in peace, you hardly sat there the waiter came and took the order. Too hectic. Eating and drinking tastes good, and cake looks good when you bake it yourself. Prices are in the usual range, especially since it is a World Heritage City. All in all, it was a cozy afternoon.
We have been to the "Café in 7 houses" several times. The history of the restaurant is great and there is no stopping in Quedlinburg without stopping here. We'll be back and the best thing is to convince yourself. It's worth it 👍
Good place, nice cake
We were under time pressure and my partner wanted a quick espresso before our drive home, so we went inside to order. When we asked if we could have a coffee to have here and pay straight away and have a normal cup, the waitress refused. we understood and said it was ok to have a take away. She proceeded to make fun of us to her colleagues within earshot, because of our mistake. A different waitress came to take our money and asked for €4,60. We asked if that’s for one espresso, and she said ‘no for two’. When we said we only wanted one (for my partner), the first waitress sighed loudly and shoved one cup into my hand. The coffee was also very average, but we weren’t expecting anything remarkable from a push button machine. Feeling very embarrassed and very annoyed, we left the city with regret that this café was our final impression.
Best Apfelstrudel ever!
Food absolutely disgusting !! (Vegetables out of the freezer. Badly cooked) People NOT nice at all !!
Probably the worst cafe in the world! If it was possible, we would like to give no stars at all, here are the reasons: 1. We entered the cafe and asked if we could sit at a table. The answer was ”NO”, in an angry and loud voice from the black bearded waiter. 2. Finally at another table in the backyard corner we ordered two beers, same beer for both of us. The waitress, this one was was blond with short hair, still believing we were in DDR?, came with two different beers, one small and one large. We told her this was wrong, she said ”NO, I wrote this in my note book”. 3. The food was cold and tasted nothing at all. We should have gone when the beer was served, big misstake!
The best apfelstrudel
Everything is fine. Nice cafe inside literally 7 different but connected old houses. Food is good, I would recommend their "pizza" thingy, with pears and ginger. Hot drinks (coffee, tee) are a bit expensive.
Quirky decor. Whilst the cakes looked great the taste was disappointing. Wouldn't go back again.
Top
The food is really good. We tried the vegetable pot, and it was fantastic. The pastries and cakes are excellent as well. They didn't have a lot of help, there were two or three ladies taking care of 100 people and so it might take a while to get your check. No one spoke English which has been a recurring theme in Quedlinburg. They only thing I can think of is, it is a rare gem that only German's get to enjoy and not a lot of international visitors get to go there, so there really isn't need for English to be spoken. We were able to work around all of them issues. The people are really nice.
The food was nice, we had schnitzel with tomatoes and mozarella and the other one with some mushrooms. Wine was also good, a bottle of Riesling. Only one thing was no good, the guy with the long black beard, the waiter. He was very upset with our tip, 6€, was not enough for him, that was very difficult for him to say proper: thank you and good bye.
Poor and arrogant service
Quick service, good cakes and caffee.
Worst service in Quedlinburg. Capuccino looks bad and comes already spilled (see foto). Mineral water was brought direct in glass and it had almost no gas :) And the capuccino was mostly milk. I think they put the milk foam and then add 2 drops of coffe :)
